Place: The Bowery Hotel
Taking place at the Bowery hotel me and my team of 3 talented makeup artist gathered to represent Smashbox and Rock out the Geren Ford Spring 2009 Collection. 1st time to NY Fashion Week Geren wanted to make a big impression from the clothes, to the makeup to the final selected models. Makeup Look was created by Smashbox Artist Lori Taylor and executed by yours truly and her team of 4 (Elizabeth Gerbino,Genavie Santos,Marni, and Diana.
There roughly 15 models posed on blocks, all had great patent leather shoes styled British punk style with little ankle socks and little woven clutch purses that reminded of Tomas Maier’s Bottega Venetta.
The makeup was inspired by the clothing and of course the movement of edge chic rock glam. We wanted to touch every girl with a signature look of a dark eye or orange wash to give a tone of light. After reading many blogs about the show I was very pleased to hear all the positive feedback on the look and the line as well. Stay tuned for more features.
